About The Process:

We start with 100% real, reclaimed pallet hardwood
Shipping pallets are usually assembled from a combination of rough-sawn lumber including pine, poplar, oak or other hard and soft woods. The more weathered and well-worn pallets make the best furniture. We work with a few pallet collectors in the Knoxville area that provide us with the best hardwood pallets.

We make the table tops and shelves from the pallet slats- the frames and legs are made from the heavy 1 5/8" thick pallet cross pieces.

After the pallets are busted apart, the nails are removed and the gnarly pieces are then sawed, ripped, cut to size, and drilled. The frame is assembled using traditional furniture making techniques using hidden screws and the original salvaged spiral nails. This makes a very sturdy heavy-duty table.

After assembly, it is then hand-sanded- enough to remove the splinters, but not too much to remove the character of the wood. You’ll get a piece of hand-built furniture with the original saw marks, knots, gouges and brandings that make every piece unique.

Stained a beautiful dark walnut color and finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed Danish Oil give it a nice, natural look bringing out the wood grain without the “plastic” look of a varnish.

Shipping/Assembly
We ship it to you partially disassembled. Putting it together is an easy 15 minute color-coded assembly (putting those Swedish guys to shame!). Tools required are a cordless drill/driver and a special installation bit (included with table).
